The new Gongon EP on Well Rounded feat Bad Autopsy a is slice of pure musical bliss, encapsulating a sound that is both fresh and timeless. Gongon was already a big favourite with us for his previous piece on WR, the mighty Mag remix that came out on Cash Antics 2 (the same EP as Deadboys runaway remix of ‘Fireworks’) and this new release has firmly cemented our belief that he is well on the path to joining Deadboy at the pinnacle of the bass/ house/ rnb licked club music thing that is really hitting the spot right now.

B1. straight banger alert! I Could Be There lunges forward on a dark broken house/ garage beat, hurtling on with woozing technicolour synths. Incomes the vocal loop: infectious and intense, pushing the pace and doing things to your brain that are chemically equivalent to MDMA. And don’t even get us started on the sub… this tune is dance floor FIRE!

B2. Cactus banger is a cheeky little number, somehow blending UK Funky and Peruvian Pan Pipes. Brilliantly up beat and perfectly arranged, the cheerful melody is given a naughty twist by the bouncing bass line underneath.
