Imami - Monad

This one has been on repeat since we first heard it. Starts off on a sort of dark, glitchy dubstep vibe with the repetitive bassline and skippy percussion morphing into almost an El-B esque dark garage tune. By the end the track has crossed several genre boundaries and you can hear the influence from numerous producers, from El-B to 2562 through to Mala and Loefah.

Dubloke's Grime Tune of the Week: Big Shot - After Dark (Instrumental)


Found this on the flip of Stomp 2. Huge. I play this out more than the A side to be honest! Again another simple yet effective track. One of the main things I love about Grime is that alot of the tunes have a roughness to the production that adds to their charm, and this one is no exception.

DUBLOKE'S GRIME TUNE OF THE WEEK: Alias - Cape Fear


"In usual Alias style this track has a nice long vocal sample which makes finding the cue point for a quick mix a bit tricky, none the less this is one of my favourites of theirs, simple yet oh so effective. I love the use of the Cape Fear theme in the intro, even if it does make it that little bit harder to mix. Expect to hear alot more Alias in the coming weeks"
