We love this one from Brooklyn based Kat Fyte. Harmonic yet eerie echoes of 06-07 dubstep precede a frantic, bashy grime beat before finally stripping right back. Good form.

This one has been on repeat since we first heard it. Starts off on a sort of dark, glitchy dubstep vibe with the repetitive bassline and skippy percussion morphing into almost an El-B esque dark garage tune. By the end the track has crossed several genre boundaries and you can hear the influence from numerous producers, from El-B to 2562 through to Mala and Loefah.

Found this on the flip of Stomp 2. Huge. I play this out more than the A side to be honest! Again another simple yet effective track. One of the main things I love about Grime is that alot of the tunes have a roughness to the production that adds to their charm, and this one is no exception.

"In usual Alias style this track has a nice long vocal sample which makes finding the cue point for a quick mix a bit tricky, none the less this is one of my favourites of theirs, simple yet oh so effective. I love the use of the Cape Fear theme in the intro, even if it does make it that little bit harder to mix. Expect to hear alot more Alias in the coming weeks"

Out this week on Catapult is The Organ Grinder’s ‘I Don’t Love You’. A seriously grooving slice of 4 x4 action complete with a seductively infectious vocal line, it been featuring pretty heavily on our rotation for a while now.

If your musical tastes are even slightly inclined towards this kind of thing then you might want to give it a listen and if your slightly inclined to buying this sort of thing on vinyl, you might want to act quickly. His last drop on Catapult (Obsession) sold out pretty promptly and this one's a hand-stamped, strictly limited kind of deal...

Pay no attention to all these photos of him looking stern, serious and gggnarly; Lorca is actually a really lovely chap. Hence why this little banger is yours for frizzle. Think of it as a bit of a teaser for what he’s got in the bank. If you haven’t already, go and give ‘Can’t See Higher’ a listen, due out in March on Dummy Records, it’s a pretty good shout if you’re vinyl shopping…

Sounding like the bastard child of The Bug and Enduser, Vex'd have finally have allowed this beast of a track to enter the public domain.

This won't be everyone's cup of tea but if harsh distorted synths and angry dancehall vocals are your thing then you need to grab this immediately as it is nothing short of spectacular.

This one's an absolute no brainer.

Have we mentioned that Hint is awesome? The long-time Brighton DJ and Producer is about to drop his new album, having previously released on Ninja Tune this time its on Tru Thoughts and in our books, its a bit of a winner.  

He's just done the first in his series of mixes to show off what he's all about and whet your appetite for the album. Go and check it out, with original selection and flawless mixing its certainly got our attention!

Virus Syndicate's MRK1 has been at the forefront of Dubstep for years, but I think his proper talent lies in Grime. This is one of the most unique Grime tracks I've heard, the use of samples is impeccable, and the moments of silence are perfectly placed. Bravo sir, bravo

"This weeks entry is from the elusive Rebound X. Most famous for his track Rhythm & Gash, this was released on the same record, Land of X EP. I'm pretty sure it samples the an instrumental to an Aaliyah track but I can't be sure, alot of the instrument samples definatly ring a bell from somewhere. Anyways its a massive track, and it shows that even Grime instrumentals can be sexy!"

Murder he Wrote- "Ok, so I'm a month late on this, what with it being a part of Keep Up! Records' Xmas 2011 giveaway (spot the irony?), but frankly when the track is this good who cares. Smoother than butter, deeper than your local swimming pool."
